Let us manage your workplace injuries, so you can focus on your people and your business.

FPES Early-Intervention

The FPES Early Intervention Program is designed to support injured workers from the minute an injury occurs, until recovery.

Injuries can happen at any time—be prepared with the FPES Early Intervention Program. Offering immediate 24/7 Nurse support, nationwide access to over 6,500 top physiotherapists, GPs, and psychologists, our data-driven system accelerates recovery, supports employee wellbeing, reduces costs, and ensures faster returns to work with proactive injury management.

Our Early-Intervention Program has been specifically developed to improve treatment and recovery and is supported by our software to automatically identify high risk cases, psychosocial and psychological barriers in real time.

At FPES, we tackle critical workplace injury challenges head-on, offering strategic solutions that benefit both employers and employees. Our initiatives enhance access to quality treatment, improve compliance, reduce minor injury costs, and minimise lost time claims—all backed by data-driven results.

Why Early-Intervention?

Early-Intervention treatment can significantly reduce the severity and duration of injuries, leading to fewer and less expensive claims. This has a direct impact on lowering your workers’ compensation premium!

Reduce Workers' Compensation Costs

Accelerate Recovery & Return to Work

Immediate support and access to quality treatment will result in a faster recovery and return to work. Providing employees with prompt care and intervention will help maintain productivity and minimise downtime.

Improve employee Wellbeing & Moral

Showing genuine care for the health of your employees fosters a positive work culture. When employees feel supported, engagement, morale, and retention tend to improve. Employees will recover sooner when an employer is supportive.

Early action can prevent minor issues from becoming major injuries, reducing the number and severity of LTIs — a key performance metric. FPES focus on separating treatment from certification - driving recovery with the relevant intervention.

Minimise lost time injuries (ltis)

Enhance risk management

Early-Intervention programs help identify patterns in injuries or workplace hazards. This comprehensive access to data allows live oversight into risks and provides organisations the opportunity to implement prevention strategies, mitigating risk.

Protect business reputation

A company known for prioritising health, safety, and wellbeing is more attractive to talent, customers, and partners. Poor injury management and a reactive response can harm a business’s reputation, productivity and bottom line.

how does it work?

  • 1. Contact FPES Nurse triage

Following an incident at work, employees can call the FPES 24/7 Nurse team for immediate care medical support & first aid advice.

Real-time notification of injury allows treatment to commence sooner, supporting positive recovery outcomes.

  • 2. Reporting

A Nurse Triage Summary Report will be shared at the completion of the call between the employee and Nurse. This includes details of the injury, incident, next steps for treatment & capacity recommendations.

Swiftly implementing job restrictions for injured employees mitigates further aggravation and damage.

  • 3. Treatment

An expedited appointment is arranged with a relevant provider in our network of physiotherapists, GPs & psychologists.

FPES will engage a physiotherapist first, for the management of musculoskeletal injuries, prioritising a hands-on, active approach to recovery.

  • 4. Forecast Recovery

Critical to recovery is having an accurate, early diagnosis, access to quality providers, comprehensive reporting and clear recovery timeframes.

Utilising the treatment provider report & analytical data, FPES predicts recovery & capacity upgrades, driving treatment providers to deliver positive recovery outcomes.

  • 5. monitor progress

Treatment provider reporting is mandatory for all FPES network providers, allowing real-time oversight into recovery.

If recovery stagnates, FPES Injury Management Specialists work with key stakeholders to identify barriers and implement outcome driven strategies.

  • 6. Recovery

FPES supports you for the duration of the Early-Intervention Program, monitoring provider performance and progress.

Tighter management & support ensures the best possible outcomes are achieved.

  • 7. Sustainable Recovery

Hands-on treatment and tailored recovery plans are key to reducing reinjury rates when returning to work after a workplace injury. By providing individualised return-to-work, suitable duties, and self-management strengthening plans, workers feel supported, safe and empowered.

This comprehensive approach ensures sustainable recovery outcomes and a smooth, safe and sustainable transition back to work.

quality assurance

The FPES Early-Intervention Program holds treatment providers accountable for the outcomes they achieve, and quality of treatment provided. Performance is continually monitored to ensure workers receive evidence based, clinically justified and best practice treatment.

immediate intervention

Early identification of injuries allows FPES to provide early active treatment with quality providers - with appointments available within 24hrs from referral and prioritises face-to-face treatment for the management of musculoskeletal injuries.

BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL FLAGs

At FPES, treatment provider reporting is mandatory, ensuring 99.8% compliance and delivering real-time, end-to-end data. When immediate flags are triggered, FPES intervenes to support you in getting recovery back on track.
